These beds are designed and built in close consultation with the client. They are Portraits. A response to the customers surroundings.
I think of it as something which will carry them through their sleeping lives, but unlike a car which may be their waking transport, the bed should improve with age and last for generations.
They are strongly built, but can be dismantled for shipping. Most of the timber comes from a small, but excellently stocked timber yard on the Severn Estuary called Wessex Timber. I happily sort through huge stacks of sawn trunks, finding the right piece for each part of the bed.
