The inspiration for this stairway came from an exquisitely carved prehistoric Egyptian flint knife.

The Black Walnut newel post is like an ancient Standing Stone, it’s mirror image hangs from the ceiling to meet it.
Double bass strings are stretched up to big rose wood tuning pegs at the top of the stairs. The handrail conceals down lights which illuminate the steps and the broad Poplar spindles.
